Projects & assets

Projects are the unit of saved work. A .planar project packages the project name, completed generations, and embedded image assets so a session can be reopened later. App-wide generation settings are stored separately on the device.

A practical loop

  1. Start a project before a substantial exploration.
  2. Generate and refine freely; the output gallery keeps the working history visible.
  3. Save strong candidates as project assets with meaningful names and tags.
  4. Save the project regularly so the generation history and assets are preserved.

The MCP server exposes the asset library as the planar://assets resource and can open shared documents rooted at an image. That makes a generated image usable as the starting point for collaborative agent editing.
